Network Engineer (Contract)
Adaptive Solutions Group (ASG) is a third-party staffing firm that partners with organizations to deliver skilled technical professionals for contract and contract-to-hire engagements. We are currently seeking an experienced Network Engineer for a contract role supporting an enterprise technology environment.<br>
This role focuses on the planning, integration, and delivery of network and data center solutions prior to transition into production operations. The position involves direct collaboration with customers, vendors, and internal technical teams to ensure successful project execution.

Responsibilities

<ul>
&#9;<li>Gather proof-of-concept (POC) requirements and translate them into build instructions, as-built documentation, and integration workbooks for production use.
&#9;<li>Execute successful integration of technology solutions according to defined specifications, configuration standards, and best practices.
&#9;<li>Drive projects from kickoff through final approval, ensuring adherence to project plans and timelines.
&#9;<li>Assist internal teams with estimating technical level of effort for integration and engineering activities.
&#9;<li>Configure and integrate multi-vendor networking, wireless, collaboration, server, and storage technologies.
&#9;<li>Develop and communicate project timelines related to technical execution within integration environments.
&#9;<li>Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge transfer to peers and project team members.
&#9;<li>Lead collaboration sessions between customers and technology vendors to propose and review design solutions.
&#9;<li>Communicate project status, risks, and milestones to internal and external stakeholders.
&#9;<li>Participate in required project and program meetings.
&#9;<li>Conduct quality checks throughout all build stages to ensure documentation accuracy and solution integrity.
&#9;<li>Review and manage change notices with cross-functional project teams.
&#9;<li>Provide feedback on hardware compatibility, installation best practices, power, airflow, and rack considerations.
&#9;<li>Support work instruction development, visual aid creation, and on-site value-add activities as needed.

Required Qualifications

<ul>
&#9;<li>5+ years of hands-on experience as a Network Engineer or similar technical role.
&#9;<li>Proven ability to diagnose issues, determine root causes, and implement effective technical solutions.
&#9;<li>Strong planning, organization, and project execution skills in deadline-driven environments.
&#9;<li>Experience creating and maintaining detailed technical documentation and integration references.
&#9;<li>Ability to clearly communicate complex technical concepts to varied audiences.
&#9;<li>Experience serving in a player-coach or technical lead capacity.
&#9;<li>Solid knowledge of local and wide area networking concepts and data communications.
&#9;<li>Familiarity with enterprise data center technologies commonly used in large-scale IT environments.
&#9;<li>Ability to read and interpret engineering diagrams, rack elevations, and cabling schematics.
&#9;<li>Knowledge of structured cabling standards and data center electrical requirements (power, phases, UPS, etc.).
&#9;<li>Understanding of server platforms, storage, and virtualization technologies.
&#9;<li>Comfort working in high-pressure environments with shifting priorities and timelines.

&#9;<li>Serve as a product representative and a key point of contact for questions related to the solution
&#9;<li>Apply critical thinking and problem-solving skills to troubleshoot issues and support resolution

<br><strong>Required Qualifications</strong><br>

&#9;<li>Bachelorâs degree in Business, Economics, or a related field
&#9;<li>Minimum of 4 years of technical business analysis experience
&#9;<li>Excellent oral and written communication skills
&#9;<li>Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
&#9;<li>Knowledge of Agile development methodology and practices
&#9;<li>Understanding of technical terminology and the ability to work effectively with technical teams
&#9;<li>Strong facilitation skills for meetings, stakeholder discussions, and working sessions

&#9;<li>Present roadmap updates, progress, and strategic recommendations to leadership and stakeholders
&#9;<li>Serve as a key point of contact for stakeholders and facilitate cross-functional alignment across business and technology teams
&#9;<li>Manage the product lifecycle from ideation through delivery and release support
&#9;<li>Define and monitor KPIs and product performance metrics to measure success and inform decision-making
&#9;<li>Analyze trends, feedback, and operational data to recommend enhancements and future roadmap priorities

<br><strong>Required Qualifications</strong><br>

&#9;<li>5+ years of experience in Product Management or a related field
&#9;<li>Strong experience developing product strategy, roadmaps, and feature prioritization
&#9;<li>Strong technical aptitude with the ability to understand complex systems and translate user and business needs into clear product direction
&#9;<li>Experience communicating effectively with executive leadership and senior stakeholders
&#9;<li>Experience working with cloud-based environments, with strong preference for Azure knowledge
&#9;<li>Broad technical understanding across areas such as DevSecOps, AI, system integrations, and enterprise technology landscapes

Required Qualifications

&#9;<br>Strong understanding of design and drafting software, including Civil 3D and AutoCAD.<br>

<br>We are currently seeking a <strong>System Migration Analyst</strong> to join a client team.<br> 

Responsibilities

<ul>

&#9;<br>Provide remote installation, configuration, and upgrade support for system migration projects.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Follow established installation and upgrade procedures for scheduled initiatives.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Collaborate with onsite technicians and internal teams to execute planned system deployments.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Perform system and component testing to validate functionality prior to project completion.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Assist with troubleshooting system and configuration issues as needed.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Prepare for upcoming projects by reviewing documentation, timelines, and system readiness.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Communicate project status, updates, and completion details to internal stakeholders.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Maintain awareness of upcoming and in progress projects to ensure readiness.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Provide feedback on procedures and identify opportunities for process improvement.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Perform additional duties as assigned.<br>

Required Qualifications

<ul>
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Bachelorâs degree in Business, Information Technology, or equivalent professional experience.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Experience supporting system deployments, upgrades, or migrations.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Experience working with virtual machines and virtualized environments.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Proficiency with Windows operating systems.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Familiarity with networking concepts, data transfer methods, and system security practices.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Ability to work productively within defined schedules and timelines.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Strong organizational, multitasking, and prioritization skills.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>

Responsibilities

&#9;<br><strong>Department Leadership:</strong> Manage and mentor a tax team, including senior and staff-level accountants. Oversee workflow, coach team members, and assist in hiring, training, and development.<br> 
&#9;
&#9;<li>
&#9;<br><strong>Tax Compliance:</strong> Supervise preparation and filing of a high volume of monthly, quarterly, and annual sales and use tax returns across multiple states. Respond to escalated inquiries from tax authorities, vendors, and internal teams.<br>

&#9;<br><strong>Tax Strategy & Guidance:</strong> Monitor and interpret changes in tax laws, maintain tax reference tools and training resources, oversee relationships with external tax providers, and advise on tax implications for business transactions.<br>

Required Qualifications

&#9;<br>Minimum of 10 years of sales and use tax experience with strong multi-state taxation expertise.<br>

&#9;<br>Background in areas such as construction taxability, exemption management, return preparation (in-house or outsourced), and tax calculation software.<br>

&#9;<li>
&#9;<br>Strong skills in Microsoft Excel (formulas, pivot tables) with experience in tax software (e.g., Vertex, CCH SureTax) and ERP systems.<br>
