Position Overview
We are seeking a Workday Benefits Analyst to support the ongoing optimization, configuration, and administration of the Workday Benefits module. This role is heavily focused on the technical, configuration, testing, and support aspects of Workday Benefits rather than benefits strategy or plan design.
The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience configuring and supporting Workday Benefits, troubleshooting issues, managing eligibility rules, supporting open enrollment activities, and partnering with business stakeholders to ensure the system operates efficiently and effectively.
Responsibilities
Configure, maintain, and support the Workday Benefits module
Manage benefit eligibility rules, life events, enrollments, and benefit-related business processes
Troubleshoot and resolve Workday Benefits issues and system defects
Perform system configuration updates and enhancements based on business requirements
Support annual open enrollment activities, testing, and validation efforts
Conduct root cause analysis and recommend process improvements
Create, execute, and document test plans for new configurations, enhancements, and system updates
Partner with HR, HRIS, Payroll, vendors, and business stakeholders to support benefits administration processes
Monitor and resolve support tickets, system issues, and employee inquiries related to benefits functionality
Assist with Workday releases and evaluate the impact of new functionality
Support reporting and data validation efforts related to benefits administration
Document business processes, configuration decisions, and support procedures
Participate in system integrations and cross-functional Workday initiatives
Manage multiple priorities while maintaining a high level of accuracy and customer service
Required Qualifications
3+ years of hands-on Workday Benefits experience
Strong experience configuring and supporting the Workday Benefits module
Experience managing eligibility rules, benefit plans, life events, and enrollment processes
Experience testing Workday configurations and validating system functionality
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
Ability to analyze data and perform root cause analysis
Experience working with ticketing systems and managing support requests
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams and business stakeholders
Familiarity with integrations impacting benefits administration
Experience with workflow management or issue tracking tools such as Jira
Experience supporting organizational integrations, system consolidations, or large-scale business initiatives
Experience working in remote or distributed team environments
