Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the Kansas City, St. Louis, Denver, and Dallas Areas.

 

We are currently looking for an IT/Technical Project Manager to join our team.

 

Responsibilities
  • Pick up the major projects, in addition to keeping up with the smaller projects/tasks needed to learn the role. 
  • Expectations are that you will ask for help and guidance in a timely manner.
  • Build upon the introductions made in the short term and turn them into actual relationships. 
  • Typically, will be working with the same teams and individuals across multiple projects over time and it is expected that you build functional relationships with those we work with and depend on in the medium term. 
  • Serve as our primary PM and “ go to” person for technical projects. 
  • Work on projects in the long term, depending on your strengths, abilities, and track record. 
  • The relationships you build in the medium term will directly impact your success in the long term, so it’ s expected they’ ll be maintained throughout your career. 

 

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’ s degree.  Technical field preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years' experience in a Project Manager role for IT/Applications systems for configuration, customization and application support.
  • Server, network, and other back end infrastructure moves
  • Client-side impacts
  • Server and database upgrades
  • Access control, Active Directory cleanup/structuring, and security, and sensitive data needs
  • Storage, (NAS/SAN/Cloud), Azure, backups, retention, etc.…, in an Engineering and Design environment
  • Basic IT structure and how to manage users and groups.
  • Engineering and Design software support, (Intergraph/Hexagon, Bentley, Autodesk, and other similar engineering and design software.)
  • Knowledge of Servers, backup systems, and security protocols for complex IT networks and their requirements for Engineering/Design software workflows.
  • Knowledge of software administration and user-support function.
  • Problem solving and analytical skills.
  • Solid written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present facts and opinions in a logical and concise manner.
  • Ability to communicate with a wide variety of individuals in a constructive manner.
  • Willingness to work as and when required in addition to the normal working hours is essential.

 

Preferred Qualifications
  • ProjectWise experience is a solid plus. 
  • Software standups and upgrades - (Engineering and Design software support experience a plus)
  • Cloud (AWS/Azure)/Citrix is a solid plus
  • Experience with complicated software with lots of interdependencies a plus
  • Migration of software to Cloud/AWS/Citrix, experience is a plus
  • Familiarity with application virtualization, (e.g. Azure/AWS/Citrix), as solid plus
