Systems Engineer
Adaptive Solutions Group (ASG) is partnering with a well-established local organization to identify a Systems Engineer who is passionate about infrastructure, cloud technologies, and automation. This is an exciting opportunity to join a collaborative IT team that supports enterprise technology platforms while helping drive modernization and continuous improvement initiatives.
What You'll Be Doing
Support, maintain, and optimize enterprise technology infrastructure, including data centers, cloud environments, and core technology platforms.
Provide technical support during standard business hours, while participating in a rotating 24/7 on-call schedule for production support, incident response, and change management activities.
Monitor the health and performance of infrastructure systems through proactive monitoring, alerting, and incident management.
Lead or participate in root cause analysis efforts and implement long-term solutions to improve system stability and reliability.
Design, deploy, and manage cloud and hybrid infrastructure solutions within Microsoft Azure.
Help drive cloud-first initiatives while ensuring infrastructure aligns with enterprise architecture, security, and operational best practices.
Partner with application teams and other IT groups to deliver scalable, secure, and highly available infrastructure solutions.
Develop and maintain automation using scripting and Infrastructure as Code (IaC) to streamline deployments, configuration management, and operational processes.
Continuously identify opportunities to improve efficiency by reducing manual processes and implementing automation.
What We're Looking For
Experience supporting, developing, and delivering enterprise technology solutions.
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure and cloud infrastructure technologies.
Strong understanding of infrastructure technologies including compute, storage, virtualization, and Infrastructure as Code.
Experience with scripting, automation, or deployment tools.
Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and infrastructure security best practices.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Ability to collaborate across teams and share technical knowledge effectively.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
4+ years of experience in Systems Engineering, Systems Administration, or Infrastructure Engineering.
Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer (MCSE) or other relevant Microsoft or cloud certifications.
Experience designing and implementing Azure-based solutions.
Familiarity with automation frameworks, scripting languages, and deployment tooling.
Experience improving infrastructure reliability through monitoring, alerting, performance tuning, and post-incident analysis.
