Systems Administrator III We are currently looking for a Systems Administrator III to join our team. Must be local to St. Louis. Responsibilities
Establish and manage the technology infrastructure supporting business operations, including hardware, networks, operating systems, middleware, and telecommunications.
Document, monitor, and maintain network infrastructure while improving its performance and security posture.
Serve as an escalation point for diagnosing complex network and server issues, identifying root causes, and implementing remediation strategies.
Assist in managing the server environment, including provisioning virtual machines, upgrading management software, and monitoring resource usage.
Design and deliver technical solutions aligned with business requirements, communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to peers.
Participate in on-call rotation for infrastructure support.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in Information Technology, with a focus on IT infrastructure and networking.
3+ years of experience designing, configuring, installing, and maintaining LAN/WAN infrastructure.
Strong knowledge of Windows Server operating systems, Active Directory, and Group Policy in a multi-domain environment.
Solid understanding of TCP/IP networking, DHCP, DNS, and WINS.
Experience with backup solutions, preferably Veeam Backup and Replication.
Familiarity with Microsoft SQL Server administration.
Understanding of SAN and storage architecture.
Experience managing wireless networks and troubleshooting wireless infrastructure.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively and prioritize tasks effectively.
Detail-oriented with excellent documentation and organizational skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Industry certifications such as CCNA or equivalent.
Experience with VMware vCenter or Hyper-V.
Familiarity with dot1x/Radius and related protocols.
Demonstrated experience leading or contributing to infrastructure projects, including planning, design, and stakeholder communication.
Scripting experience in PowerShell or Python is a plus.
