UI/UX Designer
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals for contract, contract-to-hire, and direct placement positions with companies throughout the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.
ASG is seeking a UI/UX Designer to join our team.
Responsibilities
Conduct user research to understand user needs, behaviors, and pain points through methods such as interviews, surveys, and usability testing
Create wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups to visualize design concepts and iterate based on feedback
Design user interfaces that are visually appealing, intuitive, and consistent with established brand and design standards
Ensure designs are responsive and accessible across a variety of devices and platforms
Collaborate closely with product owners, developers, analysts, quality assurance testers, and stakeholders to align design solutions with user needs and business goals
Participate in cross-functional team meetings and provide input on design-related decisions
Plan and conduct usability testing sessions to validate design concepts and identify areas for improvement
Analyze test results and refine designs based on user feedback
Contribute to and maintain design systems, style guides, and UI pattern libraries to promote consistency across products
Stay current with emerging design trends, tools, and technologies and seek opportunities to improve user experience and design processes
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field and 4 years of related professional experience, or Associate degree and 6 years of related professional experience, or High School Diploma/GED and 8 years of related professional experience
3 to 5 years of experience in UI/UX design, preferably in a technology product environment
Proficiency with wireframing and prototyping tools such as Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, or similar platforms
Strong understanding of user-centered design principles and best practices
Excellent visual design skills with strong attention to detail
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically about design challenges
Effective verbal and written communication skills for both technical and non-technical audiences
Ability to work effectively in an Agile technology team and take ownership of tasks
Preferred Qualifications
Knowledge of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
Experience contributing to design systems, style guides, or pattern libraries
Experience conducting user research and usability testing
Experience creating responsive and accessible user interfaces across multiple devices
