Job Description
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the Kansas City and St. Louis areas.
We are currently looking for a Staff Accountant II to join our team.

We are currently looking for a Staff Accountant II to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Reconcile sub-ledger accounts to general ledger for all companies.
- Participate in month-end close process.
- Journal entries and other general accounting.
- Research and analytical problem solving.
- Be detail oriented, reliable, and well organized.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment with an emphasis on accuracy and timeliness.
- Respond to Branch inquiries in a timely and professional manner.
- Prepare summary financial information and ad hoc reporting to management as needed.
- Possess good computer skills and demonstrate the ability to learn new computer functionality.
- Work well with others through all methods of communication.
- External audit assistance and preparation of schedules.
- Special projects as needed.
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required
- At least 3 years of experience in Accounting
- Must possess advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, V look-ups, formulas, etc.)
- Strong attention to detail
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Self-starter and ability to prioritize workload
- Demonstrable adaptability and flexibility in a fast-paced work environment
- Experience working in a high volume/fast paced environment
- Strong ability to problem solve and takes initiative to find answers/troubleshoot
Preferred Qualifications
- At least 3 years of experience in public accounting preferred
- CPA preferred
- Construction industry experience preferred
- Experience with fixed asset accounting preferred
- Experience with inventory accounting preferred
- Local to the Kansas City Metro Area
