Job Description

We are currently looking for a Staff Accountant- Tax to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Complete tax returns and prepare workpapers
- Perform tax research
- Analyze tax notices and draft responses
- Assist in tax planning and preparation of projections
- Examine records to ensure proper recording and authorization of transactions, compliance with policies, and applicable laws
- Potential to help prepare portions of compilation, review, and audit engagements
Required Qualifications
- Strong analytical and mathematical abilities
- Understanding of overall business and individual taxation and law
- Microsoft Office proficiency including Excel and Word
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Client service-oriented with the ability to interact at all levels of management
- Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Ability to work independently
- Detail oriented
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related degree, accounting preferred
- CPA or CPA candidate
