We are currently looking for a Senior Project Manager to join our team.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
Schedule and lead the orchestration planning of complex release deployment and maintenance activities.
Provide timely and accurate communication including status updates, system availability, and completion notifications.
Lead cooperative efforts among product team members; gaining consensus and cooperation from multiple areas/departments and business partners.
Collaborate with interdependent IT product teams to manage schedules and work requests surrounding build deployments and environments.
Provide escalation assistance and resolution by providing deep analysis of variable factors and proactive risk management; recommend potential solutions to issues; follow established escalation procedures.
Create formal networks with key decision makers and serving as an external representative for the organization.
Track the key milestones of release and maintenance schedules through the development and deployment lifecycle; monitoring and reporting on status, health, risks.
Lead Production release and infrastructure maintenance execution after hours.
Collaborate with senior management in the development of release technology strategies, methodologies, and tools to support the strategies of the IT organization.
Ensure compliance to and defines release standards and processes for the department.
Evaluate with IT teams the quality of a release and its processes.
Identify, recommend, and implement continuous improvements and task automation that result in increased quality, efficiencies, and overall value to the IT organization.
Establish release KPIs for the department; monitor to ensure compliance to established customer service level agreements and quality standards; negotiates and develops new service level agreements in response to changing needs.
Define and create reports for IT and business management that include release accomplishments, issues, and trends.
Informally and formally coach and mentor less senior team members individually or as a group.
8+ years of related experience
5+ years of IT project and/or release management experience in a large-scale IT environment
Must have experience with Agile development lifecycle, practices, and corresponding tooling
Must have intimate knowledge of SDLC (software development lifecycle) phases
Must have strong, proven relationship management skills to establish and maintain solid relationships with peers, senior management, and other departments within IT
Must have a professional attitude, collaborative and influential style, a strong sense of ownership, and have a willingness to expend extra effort when necessary or required
Must be self-aware and seek out, accept, and act upon feedback
Must exceed our expectations in attention to detail and efficiency
Must have proven experience in problem solving, sound decision making, change management, and process development
Must have displayed leadership and team centric skills, strong solution orientation, and communication
Must have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with changing priorities
Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
Bachelor' s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field
Good knowledge of resource management and tracking
Good knowledge of quality metrics and tracking
Experience with Cloud computing concepts and technologies
Understand different build and deployment technologies used in CI / CD practices
Experience in leading process improvements including implementing efficiencies such as deployment automation
Experience in Microsoft Project, Excel, Visio, Atlassian JIRA and Confluence, ServiceNow
