Senior Network Operations Engineer
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.
We are currently seeking a Senior Network Operations Engineer to join a client team.
Responsibilities

We are currently seeking a Senior Network Operations Engineer to join a client team.
Responsibilities
-
Support and maintain enterprise network environments including LAN, WAN, data center, wireless, load balancing, and security technologies.

Troubleshoot complex and non routine network issues requiring advanced analysis and independent problem solving.

Monitor network health and performance to proactively identify and resolve potential issues.

Configure, support, and optimize routing and switching technologies.
-
Support firewall, VPN, and secure connectivity solutions.
-
Participate in incident response and escalation processes, providing root cause analysis and resolution recommendations.

Utilize monitoring, logging, and visualization tools to assess fault and performance conditions.
-
Develop and maintain automation solutions to streamline routine network tasks and health checks.
-
Collaborate with systems engineering and other technical teams on cross functional initiatives.
-
Provide guidance, training, and technical support to less experienced team members.
-
Participate in change management activities, including planned maintenance and upgrades.
-
Support continuous improvement efforts related to network operations and reliability.
-
Five or more years of experience engineering, configuring, and supporting enterprise network environments.

Strong experience with routing protocols and switching technologies.
-
Experience supporting data center and wide area network connectivity solutions.
-
Knowledge of network monitoring, fault management, and performance analysis tools.

Experience with network lifecycle management and refresh activities.
-
Familiarity with ticketing systems and IT service management processes.
-
Ability to work effectively in a global, team based environment.

Strong written and verbal communication skills.
-
Willingness to participate in an on call rotation supporting 24x7 operations.

Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.

Professional level network certifications.
-
Experience supporting load balancing technologies.
-
Experience with software defined networking solutions.
-
Knowledge of network automation and scripting tools.
-
Experience with open source technologies used in network operations.
-
Background supporting voice or unified communications networking.
