We are currently looking for a Senior Manager – Networking to join our team.

 

Duties and Responsibilities
  • Primarily responsible for the design, modification, and deployment of the firewall environments across multiple data centers. 
  • Work with vendors, Information Security Office, and other infrastructure and application development teams to insure network security system is providing all required services. 
  • Direct and manage a team of 5 Network Security Engineers. 
  • Work with the team and other stakeholders, to establish, manage, and fulfill the strategic network security roadmap and develop state-of-the-art network security practices. 
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with the infrastructure and application teams who consume network security products.  
  • Drive the core functions of the team, while also being an active participant in planning associated with the combined infrastructure services strategy. 
  • Setting and enforcing achievable quality standards for products and services.
  • Evaluating and prioritizing work assigned to your team(s).
  • Managing the complete lifecycle process for the services supplied by your team (from cradle to grave).
  • Balancing time between multiple complex projects and baseline maintenance/tech-debt efforts.
  • Effectively balancing customer experience, security and cost control.
  • Developing and managing team(s) through full employment cycle including performance management, and career development; build an effective leadership bench and lead others in doing the same.
  • Establishing and maintaining healthy relationships and feedback loops with both service partners and customers.
  • Managing vendors and service contracts.
  • Effectively translating technical issues/topics into business impact and value.
  • Representing team in conversations and presentations to senior leadership and stakeholders.
  • Managing crisis situations associated to your service area.
  • Preparing root cause analysis communications.

 

Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of related experience
  • 5+ years of experience managing an IT staff, which included selecting and developing strong performers, and conducting performance and salary reviews
  • 2+ years of experience managing infrastructure engineering/operations teams
  • 2+ years of previous IT infrastructure experience as an administrator or engineer
  • Must be able to travel between St. Louis campuses
  • Experience delivering services distributed over physical, virtual (internal), and public cloud infrastructure
  • Experience of driving large scale infrastructure transformation, especially around adoption of service/infrastructure automation
  • Experience owning/partnering to drive transformation across an organization, build acceptance and alignment behind a significant change mission
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
  • Experience applying Agile concepts to infrastructure development and delivery
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build relationships, interact and influence across the IT organization
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and critical thinking skills that result in conclusive recommendations / decisions
  • Works with a high degree of autonomy, integrity and accountability
  • Must be comfortable and effective at presenting to various audiences
  • Must have strong team work qualities with the ability to establish and maintain solid working relationships with peers, vendors, senior management, and other departments within IT
  • Must be detail oriented with strong problem solving and time management skills
  • Must have proven experience in working and communicating effectively in cross-functional teams
  • Flexible schedule to accommodate after-hours response to incident-related managerial escalations when necessary
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future

 

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor' s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • Broad infrastructure domain knowledge (network, systems, storage, database, security, monitoring, data centers)
  • Specific experience with Palo Alto systems
  • Experience with a Cisco enterprise network environment
  • Experience having driven an Infrastructure transformation to adopt Infrastructure as Code and managing infrastructure as software through configuration and automation
  • Familiar with Cisco ACI, F5, and Infoblox DDI products
