We are currently looking for a Sr. Business Analyst to join our team.
Responsibilities
Develops, interprets, reviews, validates, documents, and maintains business and functional requirements
Coordinates and facilitates meetings to define key capabilities and requirements which enable stakeholders to define business strategy
Evaluates business requests to determine feasibility; researches and identifies options; recommends solutions that best serve business needs
Provides information about how requirements may affect functional design documents
Serves as the primary interface between the user and the IT team; presents formal presentations to end users, stakeholders, and management
Conducts structured walkthroughs of requirements with business and project team members
May lead acceptance testing and interface with all stakeholders to ensure client/user needs are met
Presents information regarding enhancements and tracks and responds to questions from business and IT team members
Identifies potential problems that arise with new or enhanced applications; communicates how problems will affect business; recommends solutions
Writes business correspondence and technical reports and reviews report results for accuracy
Research opportunities to minimize complexity by leveraging current IT investments and seeking out cost-effective solutions
Participates in change management activities, including Q&A testing, troubleshooting, and investigation
Performs task automation and implements process improvements; recommends enhancements that result in increased quality and service
Maintains established service level agreements to manage customer expectations and quality standards; identifies opportunities for improvement
Required Qualifications
3+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a role with similar responsibilities
3+ years of experience in developing, interpreting, reviewing, validating, documenting, and maintaining business and functional requirements
Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
Must be a motivated self-starter
Must be able to effectively manage time and multi-task, handling multiple projects at the same time
Strong organizational skills with keen attention to detail and customer focus
Ability to problem-solve and resolve a wide range of moderately complex issues in creative and effective ways
Ability to be successful under minimal direct supervision
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Must have the ability to effectively communicate with various business members and IT teams (ex: business stakeholders, IT Project Managers, Software Engineers, Managers, etc.)
Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
Familiar with JIRA and Confluence is a plus
Familiar with Microsoft products is a plus
Familiar with the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Agile Software Development Methodology is a plus
