Responsibilities
- Ensure database technologies and services are deployed, managed, and maintained in a manner that creates the highest value for our customers and adheres to best practices as well as compliance requirements.
- Identifies and plans for enhancement and design opportunities that will allow our solutions to meet the needs of our fast paced, growing business.
- Committed to providing a secure, scalable, and reliable database environment that will meet the needs of our customers now and in the future.
- Responsible for developing, modifying, and implementing elements of technology to solve business problems in addition to contributing to design.
- Work with a team to test, research, and investigate technology and assist with the requirements gathering of the solutions.
- Play a significant role in the implementation and maintenance of data integration technology which includes but is not limited to monitoring of data integration operations, performance analysis, technology enhancement, and security considerations.
- Assist with process improvements and change activities.
- Desire a self-starter that will maintain established service level agreements to meet customer expectations and quality standards.
- Develop, test, and implement data integration solutions.
- Provide operational support to customer events such as releases and maintenance, as required.
- Support significant projects such as upgrades, migrations, and disaster recovery exercises.
- Create, maintain, and improve various forms of script or code to enable monitoring and automation.
- Log, schedule, and track all changes using change management system tools.
- Respond to trouble states and incidents applying necessary repairs or restoration of service.
- Protect our customers and our brands by incorporating security and compliance in all decisions.
- Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future.
- 3+ years’ experience with database platforms such as Oracle, Microsoft SQL Server, Postgres, AWS Aurora, and Azure SQL.
- 3+ years’ experience with data replication/integration technologies.
- 3+ years’ experience using scripting languages such as Unix shell scripts and Python.
- 3+ years’ experience with Microsoft Office products.
- Written and oral communication skills that can interface with people of a technical and non-technical background.
- Teamwork, decision-making, documentation, and analytical skills.
- Customer service experience.
- Must be willing to work on an on-call rotation.
- Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field.
- 3+ years’ experience with Oracle GoldenGate or Qlik (Attunity) Replicate.
- Knowledge of Python, Perl, Unix shell script, or JavaScript.
- Familiarity with cloud solutions like Amazon Web Services and Microsoft Azure.
- Knowledge of PCI or other IT Security compliance standards.
- Knowledge of Data Governance best practices.
