Job Description
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the Kansas City and St. Louis areas.
We are currently looking for a Software Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Meets with stakeholders to analyze user requirements, processes and problems- 15% of time
- Documents detailed descriptions of user requirements, system functionality and steps required to modify existing systems- 15% of time
- Design and develop program applications of moderate to high complexity from project specifications for small to moderate sized projects- 20% of time
- Prepares technical reports and instructional manuals as documentation of program development- 10% of time
- Assists developers in resolution of work problems related to business process model, project specifications and programming- 10% of time
- Design of both system and unit Testing and quality assurance of system deliverables- 10% of time
- Deployment of completed systems- 10% of time
- Provides leadership support for systems related to a specific area, includes some after-hours and weekends- 10% of time
Required Qualifications
- Expertise of programming and database design. Programming knowledge of one or more programming languages (ASP.Net, C+, XML) in Oracle, PL-SQL, ETL tools (Talend Preferred), Unix/Linux Scripting, Job Scheduling (UAC preferred), Version Management Tool (GIT preferred)
- Advanced database knowledge of table structures, explain plans, query tuning. Toad or SQL Developer
- Acquired retail grocery business knowledge Expertise in both Agile and Waterfall Development Environments
- Working knowledge of current Microsoft desktop, laptop, and mobile related items: operating systems, email, and MS Office Suite. Google Collaborative Tools (G Suite).
- Experience with project tracking tools, such as Jira.
