Responsibilities
- Works throughout the software development life cycle to design, code, test, debug, and maintain applications with a broad understanding of a variety of languages and architectures.
- Interest in developing software and hardware solutions who can analyze existing applications and implement new features and applications.
- Recommends changes in development, maintenance, and system standards.
- Creates appropriate deliverables and develops application implementation plans throughout the life cycle in a flexible development environment.
- Participate in all phases of the software and hardware development life cycle utilizing Agile Scrum methodology in the creation of new products.
- Collaborate with business analysts, product managers, and other engineers in the design and evolution of software and hardware solutions that support access solutions in higher education.
- Adhere to the highest standards to ensure the security and reliability of our applications.
- Practice secure coding methods.
- Limited on-call work hours; work-life balance.
- 2 years software engineering experience.
- 2 years designing and integrating hardware solutions.
- Proficient in C#, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, SQL.
- Experience with developing .NET applications on Windows IoT.
- Experience with Object Oriented programming.
- A passion for learning new technologies.
- Ability to work well within a team.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral.
- BS/BA degree or equivalent experience.
- 5 years of experience with C#, JavaScript, HTML, REST, SQL.
- 5 years of experience developing applications on Windows IoT.
- Frameworks such as .NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, React.
- Data access technologies and proficiency with a DBMS, such as SQLServer.
- DevOps practices and tools, continuous integration, and continuous delivery.
- Design, implementation, and deployment of cloud-native application on a PaaS.
- Knowledge of ERP systems such as PeopleSoft, Banner, and Colleague or similar.
- Experience working with higher education institutions.
- Understanding of PCI compliance.
- Payment industry/financial transaction experience.
- Confluence, JIRA, SVN, Git, FishEye, Crucible, Build Pipelines.
- Agile methodology.
