Software Engineer II
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.

We are currently seeking a Software Engineer II to join a client team.
Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, and maintain custom software applications and system integrations.

  • Build and support back end services, RESTful APIs, and microservices to meet business requirements.

  • Troubleshoot and provide technical support for existing applications and newly deployed features.

  • Collaborate closely with quality assurance, user experience, and other cross functional teams to ensure alignment on requirements and solutions.

  • Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code across multiple code bases.

  • Apply coding standards, best practices, and modern development techniques.

  • Develop and execute unit and automated tests and resolve defects.

  • Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback.

  • Quickly understand existing code and contribute in alignment with established conventions.

  • Create and maintain technical documentation related to system architecture and application design.

  • Stay current on emerging development trends, tools, and technologies.

  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent professional experience.

  • Three or more years of experience designing and developing back end services and APIs.

  • Hands on experience with C#, .NET Core, and Node.js.

  • Experience working with relational databases.

  • Familiarity with modern software development practices, including version control and work tracking tools.

  • Experience with deployment, provisioning, and automation tools.

  • Strong problem solving, analytical, and communication skills.

  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud based development platforms.

  • Exposure to containerization technologies.

  • Experience supporting scalable, distributed systems.

  • Demonstrated interest in continuous learning and technology advancement.
