We are currently looking for a Software Development Manager to join our team.
Manage team(s) scrum boards and ensure consistent use of the tool for issue tracking.
Ensure all software built by the team follows the SDLC with high quality.
Review the code written by the team(s) and provide feedback.
Schedule and lead all agile/scrum development ceremonies. Work to improve processes over time.
Actively participate in agile/scrum user group meetings.
Manage team(s) of engineers including HR-related duties, performance management, and interpersonal communication.
Make sure that the development team' s personal and professional development goals are being met and help develop growth opportunities and events across the wider organization.
Interfacing with the product owners and other stakeholders to determine their (evolving) needs.
Provide timely and accurate project status to management including progress, roadblocks, and opportunities.
Be a champion for department initiatives and values.
Ensuring all actions promote the departments mission statement.
Manage recruiting efforts to fill individual positions and selects candidates for hire.
Mentor and support others as needed to cultivate and sustain industry leading technical expertise and professionalism.
Work with multiple teams of engineers, architects, analysts, project managers, QA and others to develop enterprise-level software products adhering to best practices and established standards and practices.
Participates in internal and external technical reviews, as required.
10+ years of relevant development experience.
5+ years of relevant leadership and management experience.
Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
Have an entrepreneurial mindset.
Strong knowledge of enterprise computing software, including system management standards and solutions.
Strong experience managing Agile scrum teams.
Passionate about technology and application development.
Ability to inspect what is expected in technical regards.
Strong Object-Oriented design and implementation skills.
Strong understanding of relational database design concepts.
Strong understanding of web technologies.
Demonstrated skills and abilities needed to coordinate, facilitate, and participate in a collaborative approach to the completion of tasks or assignments
