Software Developer
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals for contract, contract-to-hire, and direct placement positions with companies throughout the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.
ASG is seeking a Software Developer to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and deploy modern AI-enabled solutions that improve collaboration, automation, and knowledge access across the organization
- Partner with stakeholders to gather requirements and design scalable, secure, and maintainable enterprise applications
- Lead development of modern solutions using C# and .NET Core/.NET 8
- Build and deploy cloud-native applications using Azure App Services, Azure Web Apps, Azure Functions, and Durable Functions
- Implement event-driven and distributed system patterns using messaging and integration frameworks
- Develop AI-powered solutions using Azure AI services, large language models, embeddings, vector search, and retrieval-augmented generation architectures
- Build intelligent copilots, assistants, and AI agents that integrate enterprise data and workflows
- Design and maintain secure APIs and backend services that connect with relational databases, document repositories, and other business systems
- Build and support containerized workloads using Docker and modern deployment strategies
- Implement observability, telemetry, logging, tracing, alerting, and performance monitoring best practices
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support reliable, automated deployments
- Support cloud governance and security requirements including identity, compliance, and networking controls
- Provide quality assurance, documentation, and knowledge transfer for developed systems
- Respond to escalated production issues and support root cause analysis and resolution
- Collaborate with cross-functional technical and business teams to continuously improve cloud-based and AI-enabled solutions
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Data Science, or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
- 5+ years of relevant experience in enterprise application development, AI implementation, or cloud-based engineering
- Strong experience with C#, .NET Core/.NET 8, and ASP.NET
- Strong experience with cloud-native backend development and API design
- Hands-on experience with Azure App Services, Web Apps, Azure Functions, and Durable Functions
- Experience with Azure Service Bus and event-driven architecture
- Experience with Azure SQL and relational database development
- Experience with Docker and container-based deployments
- Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Azure Application Insights
- Experience implementing AI-enabled systems using Azure AI services, embeddings, vector search, RAG pipelines, AI agent frameworks, or conversational AI platforms
- Experience with source control and CI/CD tools such as Azure DevOps, GitHub Actions, and Git
- Understanding of Azure infrastructure concepts including secure networking, identity, and access management
- Ability to work independently to resolve complex production issues and recommend effective solutions
- Strong communication skills and ability to collaborate across technical and non-technical teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience building enterprise AI applications, intelligent workflow systems, or knowledge access platforms
- Experience with Copilot Studio or similar conversational AI platforms
- Experience working in professional services, legal, or other highly structured enterprise environments
- Experience supporting secure API integrations with business systems and enterprise repositories
- Experience designing scalable cloud solutions with a focus on maintainability, security, and automation
