Senior Shopify Plus Developer – Full Stack
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.

We are currently seeking a Senior Shopify Plus Developer – Full Stack to join a client team.
Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and optimize Shopify Plus storefronts to deliver modern, performant, and accessible user experiences.

  • Translate design specifications into high quality, responsive front end implementations.

  • Build and maintain custom templates, sections, and reusable components using Liquid, CSS, and JavaScript.

  • Optimize site performance, including page load speed, accessibility standards, and cross browser compatibility.

  • Collaborate with cross functional teams to implement user experience improvements and conversion enhancements.

  • Own checkout logic and operational workflows, including pricing, promotions, cart behavior, shipping, and payment configurations.

  • Design, build, and maintain integrations with external enterprise systems using REST, GraphQL, and webhooks.

  • Support multi site, multi currency, and localized storefront configurations.

  • Manage staging, QA, and production environments using version control, code reviews, and structured release processes.

  • Participate in troubleshooting, enhancements, and ongoing platform improvements.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications

  • Five or more years of hands on experience developing and customizing Shopify Plus storefronts.

  • Strong proficiency with Liquid, Shopify Plus theme architecture, JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.

  • Experience working with Shopify APIs, including REST and GraphQL.

  • Experience integrating eCommerce platforms with CRM, ERP, or fulfillment systems.

  • Strong understanding of modern front end development practices and performance optimization.

  • Experience working with Git based workflows and release management processes.

  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem solving skills.

  • Ability to work effectively in a fast paced, evolving environment.

  • Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with headless commerce frameworks.

  • Experience supporting international storefronts and localization.

  • Familiarity with analytics, testing, or optimization tools.

  • Experience working with enterprise scale eCommerce platforms.
