Job Description
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City Areas.
We are currently looking for a Sr. Software Architect to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities
Work with Business Analysts and Product Owners to come up with a solution and a plan for their requests.
Work within an Agile project methodology and collaborate well with team members.
Work within aggressive project deadlines.
Participate in all Agile ceremonies like Grooming, Planning, Standups, and Retrospectives.
Provide detailed design documents to the team.
Perform code reviews and help the team resolve technical issues.
Perform speci?cation documentation reviews.
Apply OWASP, PCI, and Security industry best practices towards application development.
Leverage an understanding of EMV processing into solutions.
Provide subject matter expertise on the design of applications and libraries.
Help team estimate project timelines and level of effort.
Provide recommendations on processes to help the team improve their velocity.
Provide technical subject matter knowledge, expertise, and recommendations to inform leadership decisions.
Participate in all Agile ceremonies.
Escalate issues and project risks timely to the Product Owner or Scrum Master.
Ensure enterprise security policy compliance.
Responsible for achieving planned business results by decisions and actions based on professional or technical expertise, business principles, and substantial practical experience.
Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities.
Conduct and prepare feasibility estimates.
Develop and manage relationships with internal customers and providers, as well as external vendors and partners.
Ensure products released to Production are stable and adequately supported.
Responsible for adequate documentation being produced to support users and integrators of products.
Ensure quality by evaluating designs, test results, development quality standards and overall product deliverables to requirements.
Ensure quality and e?ciency by routinely identifying and driving process improvements.
Attend status meetings to provide project updates to the project management and business ownership teams.
Identi?es, resolves, and recommends solutions to standard and non-standard problems.
Provides performance development and reviews documenting areas of strength and growth potential.
Addresses and resolves any performance issues with vendors and partners in a timely manner
Ensures team development processes (e.g., Agile / Scrum) are adhered to and enforced for all project deliverables.
Serves as an example of professionalism, dedication, and conscientiousness for organization
Work with Product business owners to ensure solutions meet strategic objectives
Help new architects in the team with on-boarding process and training
Mentorship and guidance to other architects in the team
Task delegation on a weekly basis
Ability to work with business analysts, product owners, scrum masters, development managers, team leads, developers, and architects across Merchant
Required Qualifications
BS in a technical discipline
10+ years technical leader/architect/manager or senior development experience
Extensive experience in payment industry for a minimum of 5 years
Ability to organize tasks and exhibit initiative in determining shifting priorities on projects
Excellent interpersonal, organizational, customer service, presentation, and communication skills
Ability to present highly technical concepts to a non-technical audience
Ability to interact diplomatically with a variety of individuals on all levels
Strong leadership skills
Exhibits energy, strong desire to achieve, appropriately high dedication level
Experience in structured approaches to software development
e.g. Software Development Life-cycle – SDLC, Agile – Scrum, Extreme Programming, etc.
Preferred Quali?cations
10+ years work experience as a technical leader/architect
