Key Responsibilities
- Support the long-term strategy and architecture for the organization's data warehouse and analytics environment.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines that ingest data from a variety of internal and external sources.
- Build, enhance, and optimize ETL processes to improve data quality, accessibility, and performance.
- Contribute to data modeling initiatives and data warehouse development.
- Monitor and troubleshoot existing data pipelines, identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation.
- Automate manual data processes to improve operational efficiency.
- Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and availability of enterprise data.
- Partner with cross-functional teams to deliver data-driven solutions that support business objectives.
- Develop and maintain reports and data extracts as needed.
- Assist with data governance initiatives, including cataloging and classifying data assets.
- Participate in code reviews and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Support data requests related to audits, compliance, or regulatory requirements.
- Mentor junior team members and promote data engineering best practices.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
- 6+ years of experience in data engineering, data warehousing, or a related technical discipline.
- Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server and SQL development.
- Experience designing and maintaining ETL processes and data integration solutions.
- Knowledge of database design principles and data modeling methodologies. Experience with Data Vault is a plus.
- Experience supporting and troubleshooting SSIS packages.
- Experience integrating data through APIs, event-driven architecture, or messaging platforms.
- Familiarity with Agile software development methodologies.
- Experience with Power BI or other business intelligence tools is preferred.
- Industry experience within insurance or financial services is a plus.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Collaborative mindset with the ability to work effectively across technical and business teams.
- Self-motivated and adaptable in a fast-paced environment.
- Full-time, onsite position based in Overland Park, KS.
- Competitive compensation package based on experience, skills, and qualifications.
