Job Description


Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of accounting and finance personnel. We provide a variety of professionals available for contract, contract-to-hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.

We are currently looking for a Staff Accountant / Senior Accountant to join our team.
Responsibilities

  • Support various aspects of the project accounting function, including:

  • Revenue recognition analysis

  • Project setup and code management

  • Weekly progress reporting and cost forecasting

  • Progress billings, collections, and project cash flows

  • Prepare and analyze financial results for monthly reporting packages, segment reviews, and management discussions

  • Assist in the development of long-term financial plans and quarterly forecast updates

  • Provide ad hoc financial analysis as needed

  • Collaborate on accounting best practices and process improvements

  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure financial reporting aligns with GAAP

  • Analyze project performance and provide insights to support strategic decision-making

  • Assist with financial evaluations and compliance monitoring for ongoing projects
    Required Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting, financial reporting, or public accounting

    • Solid understanding of US GAAP and general accounting principles

    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel, Word, and PowerPoint

    • Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities

    • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
    Preferred Qualifications

    • CPA designation

    • Experience with project accounting or percentage-of-completion accounting

    • Familiarity with Deltek CostPoint, Power BI, Power Query, or similar tools

    • Exposure to financial planning, forecasting, and project cash flow analysis

    • Experience working with cross-functional teams, including finance, operations, and estimating
