We are currently looking for a Salesforce Solution Architect to join our team.


Job Description
  • Lead level professional position responsible for designing and implementing solutions that support business goals and objectives within the Salesforce platform.
  • Serves as a mentor for the Salesforce Development team.  
  • Demonstrates advanced working knowledge and concepts of software development. 
  • Collaborates with Solution Architects and other product teams on Salesforce integrations.
  • Build up Business Knowledge, identify with Business Goals and recognize Business Needs.
  • Master existing Corporate system features and architecture.
  • Become expert in new systems and development technologies adopted.
  • Design and define solutions to support Business Needs and Goals.
  • Breakdown complex solutions, lead developers per area of focus as assigned, following strict guidelines and SDLC processes, without supervision.
  • Collaborate with other Solution Architects on enterprise best practices.
  • Responsible for the overall code quality of salesforce custom development. 
  • Performs code reviews, identifies teachable situations, and improves the skillset of the development team.
  • Responsible for writing software in accordance with I.S. practices and objectives that will achieve business goals and objectives.
  • Must have thorough understanding and advanced knowledge of software development.
  • Manage day-to-day administration of the SFDC platform, including users, security, objects, layouts, process automation, reports and dashboards, etc.
  • Maintain Salesforce documentation and policies/procedures to ensure system usability
  • Regularly audit system to uncover data integrity issues and opportunities for process improvement
  • Translate recurring issues and problems into strategic and fundamental solutions
  • Strive to achieve a high configuration (declarative), low coding (programmatic) standard
  • Assess requirements, potential risks, and impact of feature/change requests, and advise on available solutions within system constraints
  • Analyze, prototype and help drive the adoption of new Salesforce features and 3rd party integrations, to improve business processes and productivity
  • Support large-scale Salesforce projects/implementations: requirements gathering, build, release and training
  • Communicate with stakeholders, end users, project managers and engineers to ensure solutions meet team needs
  • Provide strategic consulting of best practices, training programs, and use of SFDC applications to end users
  • Keep current on certification maintenance with each new Salesforce release
  • Perform detailed program design, flow-charting, coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
  • Writes code on a daily basis that contributes to the success of software development projects, as instructed by leads or managers
  • Provide technical support to other members of the I.S. dept. in resolving, software, and application programming problems, as needed.

  • Held responsible for on-time and on-budget delivery of assigned projects within I.S
  • Collaborate with Salesforce Product Manager to document and implement Salesforce best practices with respect to processes and documentation to best suit the company’ s needs.
  • In conjunction with DevOps, this person is responsible for the creation and implementation of a highly efficient deployment solution for releases to our production instance as well as our sandboxes.
  • Assists with creation of development department policies and procedures and assists others in development with understanding and adherence to policies.
  • Effectively communicates status of projects through all phases of work within the particular area of focus.
  • Coach and mentor individuals on team and provide feedback of performance to manager and director


Required Qualifications
  • A Bachelor’ s degree   
  • A minimum of 3 years of working experience in Salesforce Administration/Development.
  • Possess five or more approved certifications within job area.
  • Salesforce Platform Developer I and Administrator certifications.
  • Excellent written, analytical, problem solving and verbal communication skills.
  • Extensive APEX, Visualforce, Lightning and JavaScript and design and development experience using enterprise patterns required
  • Inbound and Outbound Web Services (SOAP and REST) knowledge required
  • Salesforce release management experience required
  • Excellent communication skills, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment, both independently and within a team setting required
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with outstanding attention to detail
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities
  • Ability to work in a team environment
  • Motivated, self-directed, results-oriented, and customer-focused
  • Clearly demonstrates talent to write code and follow best practices.
  • Experience in managing distributed team members
  • Working knowledge of software development life cycles (agile, waterfall, iterative)


Preferred Qualifications
  • Salesforce Platform Developer II, Advanced Administrator, and Application and/or System Architect certifications
  • Experience developing real-time integration solutions in MuleSoft strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of version control system, Automated Testing, Continuous Delivery/Continuous Integration strongly preferred. Gearset experience a plus
  • Experience working with Salesforce AppExchange and add-on Salesforce features including Salesforce Connect and Salesforce Shield strongly preferred
  • Experience designing solutions using an event-driven a plus
  • Familiarity with Software development lifecycle and Agile Project Management methodology a plus
  • Experience developing software within the insurance industry a plus
