Position Overview
We are seeking a President to join a dynamic architecture and design firm. The President will serve as the strategic and operational leader, lead designer, and primary business generator for the organization. This is a hands-on role ideal for a licensed architect with strong leadership, client development, and entrepreneurial skills.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Strategy
Provide vision and leadership for the firm, aligning organizational goals with broader business objectives.
Lead strategic planning, financial management, and operational oversight.
Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and professional growth.
Business Development
Actively pursue and secure new project opportunities; lead proposal preparation, fee negotiation, and contract finalization.
Manage key client relationships and leverage professional networks to drive repeat business and referrals.
Define the firm’s strategic market niche and manage marketing efforts to ensure a steady pipeline of projects.
Represent the organization at industry events and in the community to enhance visibility and reputation.
Architectural Practice
Serve as lead designer on key projects, ensuring design vision and quality standards are maintained from concept through construction.
Oversee all projects, ensuring design quality, technical accuracy, and code compliance.
Mentor and develop staff, providing guidance on design, project management, and professional growth.
Balance creative design leadership with technical rigor in all work.
Operations & Management
Oversee project delivery, staffing, budgets, and scheduling.
Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.
Manage financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, and resource allocation.
Collaborate with related business units to ensure seamless integration of services.
Qualifications
Licensed Architect in Missouri
NCARB certification strongly preferred.
Minimum 12 years of progressive architectural experience, with significant leadership experience.
Proven business development and client relationship management skills.
Experience in private equity, real estate development, or institutional investment environments is highly preferred.
Strong financial and business acumen.
Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
