Job Title: President

Position Overview
We are seeking a President to join a dynamic architecture and design firm. The President will serve as the strategic and operational leader, lead designer, and primary business generator for the organization. This is a hands-on role ideal for a licensed architect with strong leadership, client development, and entrepreneurial skills.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Strategy

  • Provide vision and leadership for the firm, aligning organizational goals with broader business objectives.

  • Lead strategic planning, financial management, and operational oversight.

  • Foster a culture of collaboration, creativity, and professional growth.

Business Development

  • Actively pursue and secure new project opportunities; lead proposal preparation, fee negotiation, and contract finalization.

  • Manage key client relationships and leverage professional networks to drive repeat business and referrals.

  • Define the firm’s strategic market niche and manage marketing efforts to ensure a steady pipeline of projects.

  • Represent the organization at industry events and in the community to enhance visibility and reputation.

Architectural Practice

  • Serve as lead designer on key projects, ensuring design vision and quality standards are maintained from concept through construction.

  • Oversee all projects, ensuring design quality, technical accuracy, and code compliance.

  • Mentor and develop staff, providing guidance on design, project management, and professional growth.

  • Balance creative design leadership with technical rigor in all work.

Operations & Management

  • Oversee project delivery, staffing, budgets, and scheduling.

  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and contractual obligations.

  • Manage financial performance, including revenue growth, profitability, and resource allocation.

  • Collaborate with related business units to ensure seamless integration of services.

Qualifications

  • Licensed Architect in Missouri 

  • NCARB certification strongly preferred.

  • Minimum 12 years of progressive architectural experience, with significant leadership experience.

  • Proven business development and client relationship management skills.

  • Experience in private equity, real estate development, or institutional investment environments is highly preferred.

  • Strong financial and business acumen.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and leadership abilities.
