We are currently looking for a SQL Database Engineer Developer to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain SQL databases, schemas, tables, indexes, and views to support application requirements.
- Helping with migration to new version of SQL Server.
- Following coding standards.
- Optimize database performance through query optimization, indexing, and other tuning techniques.
- Developing new stored procedures and SSIS packages to efficiently provide data for interval websites and analytic software.
- Managing imports and exports of data to and from third-party vendors.
- Collaborate with DBAs and software developers to integrate database functionality into applications.
- Maintaining database documentation regarding changes to the database.
- Troubleshoot and resolve database issues in a timely manner, including investigating performance bottlenecks and resolving database errors.
- Document database design, configurations, and procedures to ensure knowledge sharing and continuity.
- Stay up to date with the latest database technologies and trends and evaluate their potential impact on our systems.
- Provide technical guidance and support to junior database administrators and developers.
- Other tasks as assigned.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience working as a SQL Database Engineer.
- Experience in Microsoft SQL Server in a professional setting.
- Understanding of T-SQL queries.
- Proficiency in SQL programming and database design principles.
- Strong knowledge of relational database management systems (RDBMS), particularly Microsoft SQL Server and/or Oracle.
- Experience with database performance tuning and optimization techniques.
- Working knowledge of creating and maintaining SSIS packages.
- Knowledge of C# scripting in SSIS packages preferred.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Attention to detail and the ability to work autonomously.
- Ability to effectively multi-task.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
- Relevant certifications are a plus.
