Adaptive Solutions Group is partnering with an innovative Kansas City-area technology company that designs, manufactures, installs, and supports advanced robotic automation systems used within the healthcare industry. We are seeking a Robotics Systems Service Technician to join the team for a 3-6 month contract.
This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on technical professional who enjoys troubleshooting, repairing, and testing sophisticated electromechanical equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
Position Overview
The Robotics Systems Service Technician is responsible for testing, diagnosing, repairing, assembling, and validating robotic and electronic equipment to ensure products meet quality and performance standards. This individual will work closely with senior technicians and manufacturing leadership while following established procedures and repair processes. Success in this role is measured by accuracy, quality, and timely completion of repair and testing activities.

This position includes both office and workshop settings and requires frequent interaction with electronic and mechanical equipment. The role involves standing, walking, bending, reaching, lifting, and using hand tools throughout the workday. Employees may be exposed to manufacturing conditions including dust, noise, odors, moving mechanical components, and electrical systems. Attention to detail, safety awareness, and the ability to solve practical technical problems are essential for success in this role.

Schedule & Location
- Contract- 3-6 months
- Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM
- On-site in the Kansas City metro area
Key Responsibilities
- Test, troubleshoot, clean, repair, and validate returned robotic and electronic equipment
- Document repair findings, labor, components used, serial numbers, and related service records
- Ensure repaired products meet established performance and quality standards
- Maintain inventory accuracy and proper documentation
- Assist with calibration and maintenance of testing equipment and workstations
- Support occasional after-hours customer stock-out requests
- Follow established repair procedures and quality processes
- Collaborate with technicians, manufacturing teams, and leadership to meet production goals
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- 2+ years of experience as a repair technician in a manufacturing, electronics, robotics, or similar technical environment, or equivalent technical school training
- Experience using testing and diagnostic equipment such as multimeters, power supplies, calipers, hi-pot testers, and related tools
- Strong computer skills with the ability to navigate databases, ERP systems, or service management platforms
- Ability to follow structured processes and documented procedures with a high level of accuracy
- Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Team-oriented mindset with a collaborative approach
- Technical curiosity and a desire to learn new technologies
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and remain on your feet for extended periods
