We are currently looking for a Regional Controller to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage all aspects of financial operations within the assigned region, ensuring compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements, budgets, forecasts, and other financial reports for the region, providing meaningful insights and recommendations to the CFO and senior management.
- Monitor and review the accuracy and completeness of financial transactions, ensuring proper recording, classification, and documentation.
- Lead the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, coordinating with the corporate finance team to meet reporting deadlines.
- Manage and develop a team of financial professionals, providing guidance, training, and performance evaluations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, sales, and HR, to understand business drivers, assess financial impacts, and support decision-making.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls and ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Identify process improvement opportunities and drive initiatives to enhance financial reporting efficiency, accuracy, and effectiveness.
- Support the CFO in strategic financial planning, including budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial projections.
- Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices to proactively address potential financial risks and opportunities.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
- CPA designation is preferred.
- 5+ years of progressive experience in finance or accounting roles, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards.
- Experience in a regional or multi-site finance role is highly desirable.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret and communicate complex financial data to non-financial stakeholders.
- Proficient in financial analysis and reporting tools, such as ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle) and Microsoft Excel.
- Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with individuals at all levels of the organization.
- Proven ability to manage multiple priorities, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing business needs.
- Experience in process improvement initiatives and familiarity with Lean or Six Sigma methodologies is a plus.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
