Patient Advocate
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology and professional services personnel. We provide a variety of professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.
We are seeking a Patient Advocate to join a client team supporting patient services, post-order support, and issue resolution. This role combines compassionate customer service with operational and technical knowledge to ensure timely, accurate, and complete resolution of patient inquiries and concerns.
Responsibilities
Serve as a primary point of contact for patient inquiries related to orders, shipping, equipment, and product support.
Reconcile daily orders, shipments, and inventory records across multiple internal systems.
Verify and confirm orders prior to fulfillment and billing submission.
Process support requests related to shipping, tracking, receiving issues, and incorrect products.
Handle escalated patient issues, including troubleshooting equipment concerns and coordinating repairs or replacements.
Maintain accurate documentation related to orders, products, quality processes, and patient interactions.
Respond to patient questions and concerns via phone, email, and other communication channels with empathy and professionalism.
Diagnose issues, guide patients through solutions, and ensure clear understanding and resolution.
Escalate complex issues to appropriate internal teams when necessary and follow through to completion.
Accurately document all interactions and resolutions in designated systems while maintaining confidentiality.
Share patient feedback and recurring issues with internal teams to support continuous improvement.
Adhere to all applicable regulations, internal policies, and quality standards.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
4 or more years of experience in healthcare operations, patient services, customer service, or a related setting.
Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and insurance processes.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational, time management, and multitasking abilities.
Demonstrated problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information in compliance with privacy regulations.
Proficiency with CRM or electronic record systems, email, fax, and standard office productivity tools.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting post-order patient services or equipment related workflows.
Familiarity with healthcare documentation, quality systems, or compliance processes.
Experience handling escalated customer or patient issues.
Prior experience working in a regulated environment.
