Job Description

Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the Kansas City and St. Louis areas.

We are currently looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer: III to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Responsible for identifying, analyzing, and communicating product defects and assisting with resolution and applying best practices and tuning, as well as working with associated development team(s) to drive required optimization, creating automated and load/performance testing strategies for the core processes and services of the SCOR life administration application.  
  • Represent the Quality Assurance team on project development and testing related efforts.
  • Develop the quality assurance requirements and strategies that span the product development life cycle.
  • Create and implement manual, automated, performance test, Software development engineering in Test (SDET) strategies for the current and future life admin eco system.
  • Prepare and implement QA plans in support of the existing and evolving life admin eco systems.
  • Establish and track key performance indicators of the overall application and backend processing jobs.
  • Develop and carry out methods and procedures for automated and manual product testing.
  • Perform risk assessments and process improvement.
  • Support various internal and external audit requirements.
  • Research test tools, methodologies, and trends and upgrading existing practices and processes.
  • Analyze test results and work with the development team to identify bugs and potential performance issues.
  • Must be comfortable working in a global team environment and support users.
  • Monitor and audit SDLC Process and Procedures within assigned team.
  • Manage the final quality on production release.
  • Technical / Professional Knowledge - Having achieved a satisfactory level of technical and professional skill or knowledge in position-related areas, keeping up with current developments and trends in areas of expertise.

  • Accountability - Alerts, raises the critical points when needed, shoulders and corrects his/her decisions and shows responsibility regarding cost management.
  • Reliability - Checks his/her work, challenges the solution before submitting it on time and identifies/corrects the mistakes if needed.
  • Open Mindedness - Is interested in projects and activities beyond his/her classical scope. Willingness to learn, apply and adapt to newer technologies.
Required Qualifications
  • Must have a minimum of 5+ years of experience leading and managing QA or other technical teams.
  • Must have minimum of 6-8 years total Test automation, Performance testing experience.
  • Must have in-depth experience creating test scenarios, test plans, test cases, and test scripts.
  • Must have experience conducting functional, integration, performance, regression testing.
  • Must have experience in designing, developing, and executing SQL server Database SQL scripts.
  • Must have experience identifying application bottlenecks and advising the team for resolution.
  • Must have experience with Load, Stress, and Endurance testing.
  • Must have experience coordinating/updating test estimates, time frames, etc.
  • Must have experience in SDLC, Agile framework like SCRUM and tracking systems like TFS, Azure Dev Ops etc.
  • Must have strong oral and written communication skills.
  • Must have experience working with global technical and Business users.
  • Must have experience with various Microsoft technologies and tools including .Net, C#, REST, SOAP, Git, SSIS, SSAS, SQL Server 2012/2016, Microservices, Visual Studio and Azure Cloud.
  • Must have experience with Performance Testing Tool Scripting/Automated Test Execution (Silk, LoadRunner, HP test automation tool, Selenium Test Automation etc.).
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or a related field.
Preferred Qualifications
  • APM tool experience (Splunk, AppDynamics, etc.)
  • Financial / Accounting experience
  • Insurance / Re-insurance experience
  • Relevant technical certifications
  • SDET Programming / Development experience
  • Project Management experience
