Job Description

Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the Kansas City and St. Louis areas.

We are currently looking for a QA Analyst to join our team.

Responsibilities
  • Overall end-to-end testing, ensuring functionality, reliability, usability, and performance expectations are met.
  • Identify usability and functional issues in the localized software according to prescribed test scripts and testing procedures.
  • Interpret and enforce QA standards.
  • Create detailed, comprehensive, and well-structured test plans and test cases.
  • Perform thorough regression testing when bugs are resolved.
  • Cooperate and communicate with other team members to meet departmental and team goals.
  • May provide recommendations for solutions from experience and strong knowledge of the product.
  • Design, develop, and execute automation scripts using approved software and tools.
  • Develop and apply testing processes for new and existing products to meet client needs.
  • Liaise with internal teams (e.g., developers and product managers) to identify system requirements.
  • Monitor debugging process results.
  • Validate fixes and close tickets completing the quality testing cycle.
  • Escalate potential problems both in terms of specific bugs but also wider functionality issues.
  • Perform other duties as required or requested by leadership.
  • Contribute to positive team efforts within the office, the department, and the company.
  • Maintain confidentiality of sensitive data (employee, company, and customer) without exception.
  • Suggest better/more efficient ways of performing day-to-day tasks.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures, including adhering to scheduling and attendance requirements.
  • Must be available for weekend assignments as needed.
Required Qualifications
  • Excellent problem-solving, communication, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.  
  • Acute attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to an existing, complex environment and learn new concepts / software technologies as needs arise.
  • Intermediate English language skills, both written and verbal.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in software engineering, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Equivalent amount of work experience may be considered in lieu of.
  • 2-4 years of practical software testing experience.
  • Knowledge of software QA methodologies, tools, and processes.
  • Experience working as part of an agile team.
  • Experience with testing tools (Selenium, Python, Java) developing automated test cases.
  • Experience with deployment tools (Jenkins, Bamboo).
  • Experience with virtualization (VirtualBox), containers (Docker).
  • ISTQB Foundation level or higher (or equivalent) certificate.
  • Strong consideration will be given to those with Enterprise, Cloud, and Mobile Technology experience.
  • Experience with Point-of-Sale systems.
  • Extensive experience with the following tools/technologies: Python, Postman MySQL, JavaScript, Cloud Web Services, REST, JSON, Java.
  • Restaurant Operations experience.
