We are currently looking for a Project Manager to join our team.
Job Duties and Responsibilities
Plan, lead deployment and maintenance activities, plan releases, and provide communication including status updates.
Collaborate with IT teams to create and communicate release and maintenance schedules, such as work plans or timelines.
Create and maintain deployment and maintenance work requests and communications.
Anticipate and identify issues and risks and recommend solutions.
Works with management across IT teams to implement solutions.
Coordinate across IT teams to define and communicate changes in projects, such as the scope or schedule of the release and maintenance.
Log JIRAs, track key milestones of the projects through the development and deployment lifecycle, and monitor and report on status, health and risks.
Collaborate with IT teams to define and promote release and maintenance processes.
Evaluation of the quality of a release, maintenance, and its processes with IT teams, to identify and implement process improvements and changes.
Determine the appropriate metrics to utilize, monitor and communicate the quality of releases and maintenance activities.
Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future
6 years IT related experience
3 years IT related project management experience
Experience in Atlassian JIRA and Confluence
Experience creating work plans in Microsoft Project, Excel, or some other planning tool
Must have proven experience in change management and quality oversight
Must have displayed leadership and team centric skills, strong solution orientation
Ability to communicate effectively with other team members within Decision Support and Corporate users when applicable
Highly organized and detail oriented and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
Display a strong sense of urgency
Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
Bachelor' s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
Good knowledge of business areas
Good knowledge of software development lifecycles including waterfall and agile
Good knowledge of release and support management
Good knowledge of quality metrics and tracking
Good knowledge of resource management and tracking
Experience in managing projects using project methodology extremely helpful
Experience in Microsoft Project, Excel, Visio, SharePoint
2+ years’ experience with database projects helpful, i.e. Teradata
