Job Description
IT Project Manager
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.
We are currently seeking an IT Project Manager to join a client team.
Responsibilities
Plan, execute, and oversee information technology projects and programs to ensure scope, schedule, budget, and resource objectives are met.
Lead all phases of project delivery using established project management methodologies, processes, and tools.
Develop and maintain long term program objectives and technology roadmaps aligned with business goals.
Coordinate and communicate project activities across multiple departments and stakeholder groups.
Build and maintain project plans, schedules, charters, and communication documentation.
Identify resource and skill requirements and partner with functional leaders to secure appropriate staffing.
Track project performance, manage scope changes, and evaluate impacts to timelines and budgets.
Manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and change control processes, including mitigation and contingency planning.
Serve as the primary point of contact for questions related to project scope, schedule, resources, or budget.
Prepare and deliver status reports, progress updates, documentation, and presentations for stakeholders.
Oversee and coordinate third party vendors or consultants to ensure successful execution of project deliverables.
Facilitate collaboration between technical and non technical team members.
Perform additional duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications
Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
Experience managing technology focused projects or programs.
Demonstrated ability to lead cross functional teams, including internal stakeholders and external vendors.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong organizational, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Ability to negotiate, influence outcomes, and hold team members accountable to deliverables.
Ability to manage conflict and navigate differing priorities in a professional manner.
Proven leadership and general management skills.
Ability to work independently as well as in a collaborative, team oriented environment.
Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience managing large scale or enterprise level initiatives.
Familiarity with both Agile and traditional project delivery methodologies.
Experience working with distributed or remote teams.
Background supporting technology integrations or multi department initiatives.
