Job Description

Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract-to-hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the Kansas City and St. Louis areas.

We are currently looking for a Project Management Department Manager to join our team.

  • Develop and execute a strategic plan for the project management department, aligning it with organizational objectives.
  • Provide leadership to the project management team, setting clear objectives and performance standards.
  • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
  • Implement and optimize project management methodologies, tools, and best practices for improved efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Monitor project progress, resolve issues, and make necessary adjustments to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Research and devise solutions for issues such as incorrect materials, warranty claims, shortages, and installation errors.
  • Recruit, train, and develop project managers and detailers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching and mentoring to support team members' professional growth.
  • Allocate resources across projects based on requirements, skills, and organizational priorities.
  • Manage the departmental budget efficiently to support project goals.
  • Ensure projects meet company standards and compliance requirements by implementing quality control processes.
  • Conduct post-project reviews to capture lessons learned and improve future project planning and execution.
  • Foster innovation within the team, exploring new tools and processes to enhance project delivery.
  • Continuously assess and enhance project management practices to adapt to evolving organizational needs and industry trends.

Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree
  • 3-5 years of project management experience in commercial construction
  • Demonstrated leadership experience managing teams of at least 5 individuals.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excellent negotiation and presentation abilities
  • Proficiency in Division 8 and Division 10 products and services.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, detailing software (e.g., PRO-TECH, EPWS), Bluebeam, and ERP software (e.g., cERP, NetSuite, Acumatica)
