Platform Engineer PKI and Certificate Automation
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract-to-hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.
We are currently looking for a Platform Engineer specializing in PKI and Certificate Automation to join our team. This hands-on role will build and automate enterprise certificate lifecycle management processes across cloud infrastructure and applications.
Responsibilities
Build scalable automation for enterprise certificate lifecycle management.
Automate certificate issuance, renewal, rotation, and revocation processes.
Integrate certificates with cloud services, infrastructure, and applications.
Support certificate management across public and private cloud environments.
Modify application and infrastructure code to support certificate operations.
Improve certificate governance, security, reliability, and operational consistency.
Collaborate with infrastructure, security, and application teams to resolve certificate-related issues.
Required Qualifications
Hands-on experience with certificate lifecycle management and public key infrastructure.
Experience automating certificate issuance, renewal, rotation, or revocation.
Strong background in infrastructure security and cloud infrastructure.
Experience integrating certificates with applications or cloud services.
Experience working with Kubernetes and Linux environments.
Experience using Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure automation.
Programming experience with Python, Scala, or TypeScript.
Ability to modify and test application or infrastructure code.
Experience building scalable security automation.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AppViewX, Venafi, or Keyfactor.
AppViewX experience is strongly preferred.
Experience managing certificates across public and private cloud environments.
Knowledge of certificate governance and security best practices.
