Platform Engineer Cloud Security
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract-to-hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.
We are currently looking for a Platform Engineer specializing in Cloud Security to join our team. This hands-on role will address encryption and infrastructure security gaps across cloud services, applications, and containerized environments.
Responsibilities
Implement encryption-at-rest controls across cloud and service infrastructure.
Design and implement encryption-in-transit solutions.
Support key management and key rotation initiatives.
Develop, modify, and test application and infrastructure code.
Build and deploy encryption-related security enhancements.
Improve logging, monitoring, and supporting security controls.
Work within cloud-native, Kubernetes, and containerized environments.
Support deployment and automation efforts across multiple platforms.
Required Qualifications
Hands-on cloud infrastructure engineering and infrastructure security experience.
Experience implementing encryption at rest and encryption in transit.
Knowledge of PKI, key management, and AWS Key Management Service.
Experience working with Kubernetes and Linux environments.
Experience using Terraform and Ansible for infrastructure automation.
Programming experience with Python, Scala, or TypeScript.
Ability to develop, modify, and test production application or infrastructure code.
Experience working within CI/CD environments.
Strong understanding of cloud security and infrastructure security best practices.
Preferred Qualifications
Strong AWS cloud infrastructure experience.
Experience working with Google Cloud Platform.
Experience supporting both public and private cloud environments.
Experience automating security controls across large or complex cloud platforms.
