We are currently looking for a Payroll Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities
Strategic and Tactical Payroll Leadership: Provide end-to-end payroll management, supporting 800 employees across the U.S. and Canada. Lead both strategic planning and daily operations to ensure accurate, compliant payroll processing.
Process Optimization and Efficiency: Drive process improvements and implement best practices for payroll processing, fostering a collaborative team environment that prioritizes streamlined, efficient workflows.
Technology and System Modernization: Utilize the recently implemented ADP payroll system to modernize payroll functions, including transitioning from legacy systems to a new badging system. Identify automation opportunities to improve efficiency and accuracy.
Union Payroll Management: Oversee payroll for two union shops, ensuring compliance with union requirements. Prior experience with union payroll is advantageous but not required.
Adaptability in a Fast-Paced Setting: Demonstrate a proactive approach in a high-performing, fast-paced team environment. Address evolving business needs through strategic insight and practical application, consistently identifying opportunities for continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
Experience: 5+ years of experience in payroll management, ideally within a multi-state U.S. and Canada context. International Payroll experience is nice to have.
Experience with ADP systems and payroll process modernization is highly preferred.
Skills: Strong understanding of payroll principles, compliance, and reporting; excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to a fast-paced, evolving work environment.
Union Payroll: Prior experience with union payroll is beneficial but not required.
Technology Proficiency: Expertise in payroll software, ideally ADP, and familiarity with transitioning to new systems such as timekeeping and badging systems.
Soft Skills: Excellent leadership, communication, and collaboration skills. Ability to work well in a collaborative, team-oriented setting that values innovation and continuous improvement.
