Network Engineer

Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.

We are currently looking for a Network Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities

  • Gather technical requirements and translate them into build instructions and documentation for production environments

  • Execute integration of technology solutions based on specifications and best practices

  • Drive project progress from kickoff through completion

  • Configure networking, wireless, and collaboration devices across multiple vendors

  • Support configuration of server and storage technologies based on project needs

  • Develop and manage technical project timelines within integration environments

  • Lead collaboration sessions with stakeholders to support design and solution development

  • Communicate project status to internal and external teams consistently

  • Participate in project meetings and provide updates on technical execution

  • Perform quality checks throughout the build process to ensure documentation accuracy

  • Review and manage change notices with project teams

  • Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and knowledge sharing to peers

  • Assist with work instructions, visual aids, and process improvements
Required Qualifications

  • 5+ years of experience in network engineering or related technical roles

  • Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex issues

  • Experience planning, organizing, and managing technical projects within defined timelines

  • Ability to create and maintain technical documentation

  • Strong communication skills with the ability to simplify complex concepts

  • Experience reading engineering drawings such as rack elevations and cable schematics

  • Knowledge of structured cabling standards and data center environments

  • Understanding of electrical requirements (kilowatts, amps, phases, UPS, etc.)

  • Familiarity with server platforms and virtualization technologies

  • Experience with LAN/WAN and data communications

  • Ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Cisco technologies and unified communications (CUCM, SIP, H.323)

  • Familiarity with VMware vSphere environments

  • Experience with enterprise hardware platforms (Cisco UCS, HP servers, etc.)

  • CCNP (Cisco Certified Network Professional) certification
