Job Description
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the Kansas City and St. Louis, areas.
We are currently looking for a Network Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Monitor network links for LAN/WAN, monitor performance/tuning, ensure capacity planning is performed, and proactively assess and make recommendations for improvement
- Understand networking protocols and technologies, including routing, switching, and load balancing.
- Install, configure, and maintain routers and switches.
- Develop and maintain documentation regarding network configurations, operating procedures, and service records relating to network hardware and software
- Assist in knowledge transfer and training staff in implementations, maintenance, troubleshooting, and support of LAN/WAN
- Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology (or related field)
- 10+ years’ experience in:
- Troubleshooting data center networks
- Expertise in Cisco APIC and ACI products and technologies
- Understanding of network protocols, including routing and switching
- Administering IP networks in a near zero downtime environment
- DNS/DHCP technologies
- Troubleshooting network issues & building VPN
- Using SNMP based monitoring software
- Administering Firewall Platforms (F5 ASM, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, or equivalent)
Preferred Qualifications
- Desired Certifications: CCNA, CCNP
- Prior NOC Experience
- SD-WAN Experience
- Cloud Design and Implementation experience
- 802.11x Experience
