Job Description
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology and professional services personnel. We provide a variety of professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City Areas, as well as some remote opportunities.
We are currently looking for a Network Engineer to join the team.

We are currently looking for a Network Engineer to join the team.
Responsibilities
- Long and short-term network (LAN/WAN) planning, design, and optimization.
- Develop strategies and direction for network systems solutions using current and emerging technologies.
- Translate business requirements into network or process designs.
- Plan and recommend network hardware, systems management software and architecture to ensure compliance.
- Monitor network performance/tuning.
- Ensure capacity planning is performed.
- Proactively assess and make recommendations for improvement.
- Evaluate new server-based upgrades.
- Install, configure, and maintain routers, switches, and hubs for the network systems (wireless and VoIP).
- Develop and maintain documentation regarding network configurations, operating procedures, and service records relating to network hardware and software.
- Monitor network links for LAN/WAN and assist in training staff in implementations, maintenance, and support of LAN/WAN.
- Provide guidance in client computer operating systems, computer naming, and username.
- Apply lean thinking and tools to identify and eliminate waste in all areas of the position.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or related field)
- 5+ years’ experience in:
- Administering IP networks
- Cisco ACI
- Datacenter specific experience
- DNS/DHCP technologies
- Troubleshooting network issues & building VPN
- Using SNMP based monitoring software.
- Administering Firewall Platforms (F5 ASM, Cisco ASA, Palo Alto, or equivalent)
- 802.11 Wireless protocols
- Ability to work both independently & within a team.
- Strong professional interpersonal, verbal, & written skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Certifications: CCNA, CCNP
- Prior NOC Experience
- Clear understanding & experience troubleshooting with the OSI model.
- Experience working with converged network solutions that deliver data, real-time video, and voice over the same IP network.
- Experience with networking protocols such as TCP/IP, UDP, SNMP/RMON, and RDP
- Experience configuring/administering LAN/WAN/SDWAN communications and network hardware such as routers, switches, bridges, gateways, firewalls, and load balancers.
- Experience building & maintaining QOS for real time-based services.
- Cloud design and implementation
