Network Administrator

Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract-to-hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.

We are seeking a Network Administrator to join our team.
Responsibilities:
  • Monitor network devices, interfaces, and applications to ensure optimal performance and connectivity.
  • Identify and troubleshoot routine network issues and escalate incidents as necessary.
  • Create and track incident tickets, assign them based on priority, and communicate network-related issues effectively.
  • Perform installations, updates, and testing of network software, including patches and upgrades.
  • Configure and monitor network equipment, including layer 2 and layer 3 devices.
  • Implement and utilize network monitoring and performance tools.
  • Assist with network cabling tasks, including installations, changes, and removals.
  • Provide technical support to internal and external users and educate end users on networking technologies.
  • Maintain documentation of network configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps.
  • Stay current with industry trends and emerging technologies.
Required Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in computer science, information technology, or a related technical field, or equivalent work experience.
  • 1-3 years of network administration experience, including:
  • Working with Cisco network equipment.
  • Utilizing network monitoring and diagnostic tools.
  • Configuring and deploying networking devices.
  • Troubleshooting network-related issues.
  • Installing and testing network software updates.
  • Proficiency in Visio, Word, and Excel. Preferred Qualifications:
    • CCNA or equivalent Cisco certification.
    • Experience configuring and monitoring Cisco WLAN Controllers.
    • Strong analytical skills and ability to interpret data effectively.
    • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
