Job Description

Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the Kansas City and St. Louis areas.

We are currently looking for a Lead Cloud Architect to join our team.


Responsibilities
  • Oversees the entire project or program life-cycle, discovery through closeout, for highly complex projects or simple programs.
  • Responsible for the planning process, including creation of the project or program plan.
  • Leads the collaboration with stakeholders to define and finalize scope for highly complex projects or simple programs.
  • Identifies scope changes, issues, risks and dependencies.
  • Communicates issue resolution recommendations to decision makers; may implement when needed.
  • Collaborates with IT Managers to determine project resource needs and time requirements; requests resources as needed.
  • Responsible for project resources and delegates tasks between projects and/or programs, ensuring resources are being fully utilized; identifies and escalates resource constraints and skill gaps.
  • Creates and delivers accurate information to the executive-level, stakeholder and project team to make decisions.
  • May interact with internal and/or external customers or business partners.
  • Builds, analyzes and communicates executive-level, stakeholder and project-level status reports; provides executive-level readouts on report findings.
  • Coaches others to more effectively build and analyze reporting.
  • Prepares ad hoc stakeholder and senior leader communication in partnership with Program Sponsor
  • Manages integration of vendor tasks, including monitoring deliverables and vendor accountability; escalates vendor issues and participates in resolutions.
  • Participates in vendor selection and creation of proposals for evaluation.
  • Coordinates measurement and monitoring of key performance indicators (KPIs) and return on investment (ROI) for programs
  • Leads internal reviews of program risk analysis, risk logs, and adherence under defined risk and program management standards and escalates as necessary
  • Anticipates issues and identifying dependencies and interdependent projects to successfully deliver programs and associated projects
  • Oversees quality assurance audits and serves as an internal quality control check for projects/programs.
  • Conducts interim and post- project reviews, logging lessons learned.
  • Manages change requests in accordance with change control guidelines
  • Demonstrates expert functional acumen to support how best practices address sponsor and company goals, while maintaining a focus on our culture & values.
  • Challenges status quo when changes are needed for individual project success.

Required Qualifications
  • Must reside in St. Louis, Missouri, or immediate surrounding area, with the ability to work at one of our St. Louis campus locations semi-regularly
  • 7+ years of experience in project management
  • Proven experience managing large scale, transformational IT application development projects
  • Advanced level of proficiency in knowledge of project management tools & concepts, from planning and inception, through implementation, change management and support
  • Ability to drive discussions about initiatives and their associated campaigns to create effective deliverables and outcomes
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills when interfacing with all levels of management, including c-suite leaders
  • Strong meeting facilitation skills with the ability to effectively communicate with any level of senior leader participants
  • Ability to foster and maintain strong partnerships with business stakeholders, leadership and project team members
  • Superb relationship management skills, specifically around leading projects with the ability to create a non-adversarial atmosphere and be viewed as a partner across all levels
  • Demonstrated high degree of collaboration; works well with others in team environments as it relates to delivering projects and programs
  • Demonstrates decisiveness and balanced judgment in complex decision-making and in ambiguous situations
  • Proven ability to work creatively and analytically in a problem-solving environment demonstrating teamwork, innovation and excellence; diligent in unblocking problems to maintain delivery momentum
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with the demonstrated ability to juggle multiple competing tasks, deadlines and demands
  • Protect our customers, employees and brands with security and compliance in all decisions; ensure security policy and procedure requirements are met; continuously identify opportunities for improving security and implement strategies to improve our security posture

Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • Experience and knowledge in data strategy and analytics
  • Experience in agile methodology and CI/CD principles
