We are currently looking for a Jr. Test Automation Engineer to join our team.


  • Responsible for using your technical knowledge of professional concepts to solve business problems. 
  • Serve as a subject matter expert in their area of focus and represent their department on complex assignments. 
  • Responsible for evaluating elements of technology’ s effectiveness through requirements gathering, testing, research and investigation and make recommendations for improvements that result in increased quality and effectiveness. 
  • Required to listen to and evaluate customer needs to determine and provide high quality solutions that align with customer expectations. 
  • Interpret end-user business requirements to develop and/or modify technical design specifications.
  • Work closely with the PeopleSoft Financials QA and Development team(s). 
  • Responsible for creating and maintaining automated test scripts and data; executing automated tests suites; and assessing and evaluating quality assurance test requirements to determine scope to be covered by the automated testing suite. 
  • Responsible for designing, producing, executing, and maintaining automated test plans and test cases. 
  • Participate in code reviews of automated test code, debug automated test codes, and assist with maintaining associated databases. 
  • Receive general instructions on routine work and detailed instructions on new projects or assignments. 
  • Mentor other PeopleSoft Financials team members on the usage of the automation tools. 
  • Focus is on operational and tactical activities
  • Participates on project teams
  • Develops strategies and work plans for own tasks
  • Works on large strategic, complex assignments
  • Prepares and delivers informal presentations to own team
  • Coaching and mentoring less experienced engineers
  • May assist with the development of standards, processes and procedures for the department
  • Establishes and fosters one-on-one relationships within the department


Required Qualifications
  • 2+ years of experience building and executing automated tests suites
  • 2+ years of experience with client server/web application/web services test automation tools
  • 1+ years of experience with SQL
  • Ability to create and maintain complex automated test code, scripts, data, and associated drivers per recognized SDLC methodology (Waterfall, Agile preferred)
  • Knowledge of XML, XML Schema, XPath, UNIX, LINUX, and/or Windows
  • Experience designing, producing, executing, and maintaining complex automated test plans and test cases based on requirements and specifications
  • Assessing and evaluating quality assurance test requirements to determine scope of functionality to be covered by the automated testing suite
  • Experience maintaining documentation on automation modifications and updates
  • Experience performing manual testing
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to transcend the organization with appropriate levels of detail
  • Strong teamwork, decision-making, documentation and analytical skills
  • Identify where task automation and process improvements can add value
  • Maintains established service level agreements to meet customer expectations and quality service
  • Ability to be productive in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
  • Ability to effectively manage time and work independently
  • Ability to take initiative and ownership for all testing efforts supported
  • Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
  • Must be presently authorized to work in the U.S. without a requirement for work authorization sponsorship by our company for this position now or in the future


Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor' s degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or related field preferred
  • Experience with PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF), Selenium, Rational Functional Tester
  • Knowledge of Object-Oriented programming, PeopleSoft Financials, PeopleCode
  • 2+ years of related work experience in an Accounting type of role or similar
  • Experience with Agile Development and Testing methodologies
  • Experience with the Atlassian suite to include: Jira, Zephyr, HipChat, BitBucket, and SourceTree
