Job Description
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract-to-hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the Kansas City and St Louis areas.
We are currently looking for a Sr. Java Developer to join our team.

We are currently looking for a Sr. Java Developer to join our team.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain high-performance, scalable, and reliable Java applications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements, design solutions, and implement robust software solutions.
- Lead and mentor junior developers, providing guidance and support in coding best practices and design patterns.
- Participate in code reviews to ensure code quality, maintainability, and adherence to coding standards.
- Contribute to architectural discussions and decisions to ensure the development of scalable and efficient software systems.
- Troubleshoot, debug and resolve software defects and production issues in a timely manner.
- Stay updated with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to continuously improve the team's development processes.
Required Qualifications
- Strong SQL skills and knowledge of relational database/database design
- Experience writing programming code
- Understanding of data integration between systems
- Experience providing production support
- Understanding of the software development lifecycle
- Strong ability to troubleshoot production issues and provide risk assessments as well as provide lasting solutions to existing and new issues
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to communicate with business stakeholders and IT Product owners
- Can gather requirements
- Can work with limited to no supervision
- Develop solutions that adhere to industry best practices
- Can Write and maintain development and user documentation
- Experience with enterprise off the shelf software productions
- Results-oriented with a proven track record of execution
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in scripting languages such as PowerShell, Python, etc.
- Experience with REST API client development
- Experience or knowledge of programming in object-oriented languages such as Java, C++, C#.net or other
- Experience or knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load)
- Previous experience in the Finance and/or Investment IT space
- Data Wearhouse experience preferred
- Agile/Scrum experience preferred
