Job Description

Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the Kansas City and St. Louis areas.

We are currently looking for an Internal Audit Supervisor to join our team.


Responsibilities
  • Lead and supervise the Internal Audit Department auditing processes and procedures across all parts the company- everything from hiring, onboarding process, financials, operations, customer service functions, etc.
  • Manage and mentor audit staff, providing coaching, training, feedback, and professional development.
  • Develop and implement the annual audit plan in coordination with senior management and the Risk Management team.
  • Review and assess the effectiveness of financial, operational, and compliance controls.
  • Ensure that controls are cost-effective and align with risk management strategies.
  • Evaluate organizational compliance with internal policies, procedures, bond resolutions, and statutory requirements.
  • Assess the accuracy and reliability of information produced within the organization.
  • Liaise with external auditors to facilitate annual audit activities.
  • Ensure that financial statements are published in accordance with relevant statutory requirements.
  • Assess and review new processes and computer-based systems for potential audit implications and risks.
  • Monitor key performance indicators for the audit team to ensure high standards of work and timely completion of audits.
  • Develop and maintain an Audit Strategic Plan that aligns with the organization’s strategic goals and priorities.
  • Track and manage open issues from internal audit reports, ensuring timely resolution and follow-up.
  • Assist in drafting, reviewing, and approving reports that communicate audit findings and recommendations effectively.
 
Required Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's Degree Required- Emphasis in Accounting, Finance, or IT (preferred)
  • 5+ Year of Internal Audit Experience
  • 2+ years of Supervisory/ Management Experience
  • Knowledgeable in auditing and accounting; information technology; theories of management; internal controls; and assessment of business risks.
  • Advanced in Microsoft Office Products
  • Requires project management skills with the ability to lead in a team environment, and communication at all levels of the organization.
  • Excellent analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with different levels of management and external auditors.
  • Familiarity with relevant statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Certifications in CPA, CIA, CFE, CISA, or CGAP are a preferred
  • Experience with SAP Software is a PLUS
