We are currently looking for an IT/Applications Infrastructure Support to join our team.
Serves as a representative for the business managers and users.
Walks around, meets and talks to the users to understand their needs and be the “ one to call” for their office.
Provide day to day troubleshooting / user assistance as an escalation point.
Often directly troubleshoot complicated issues and then hand them off to our IT department for resolution and track the progress of their work.
Assist our IT department with complicated issues they’ re trying to solve.
Responsible for setup, documentation, and coordination of testing new software.
Responsible for assisting with and/or and driving complicated software upgrades.
Maintain software standards and images and work with IT department to ensure quality results for users and checking of new hire PCs to ensure quality.
Assist with and/or resolve fires/special projects as needed.
Track outages and costs.
Assist with and help to drive our move to the Cloud for our engineering and design software and data.
Minimum 5 years' experience of using IT/Applications systems for configuration, customization and application support.
Experience including advanced knowledge of PC hardware/software principals and operating systems such as Windows 10 / 7.
Familiarity with application virtualization, (e.g. Citrix XenApp and XenDesktop)
Comprehensive knowledge of Network Servers, backup server systems, and security protocols for complex IT networks and their requirements for Engineering/Design software workflows, basic IT structure and how to manage users and groups.
Experience troubleshooting network issues, required software and hardware upgrades and installs.
Scripting in PowerShell and VBA preferred.
Experienced in software administration and user-support function.
SQL queries creation and utilization.
Problem solving and analytical skills.
Good written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present facts and opinions in a logical and concise manner.
Ability to communicate with a wide variety of individuals.
Flexibility and willingness to work as and when required in addition to the normal working hours is essential.
Design & Incorporate automated scripts to assist in improving project delivery schedules.
