Job Description
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of accounting and finance personnel. We provide a variety of professionals available for contract, contract-to-hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.
We are currently looking for a Financial Reporting Manager to join our team.
Responsibilities
Oversee a team responsible for accounting operating expenses, consolidating and reporting monthly financials, and managing annual budgeting and forecasting processes.
Ensure accurate general ledger entries and timely financial statement reporting.
Review and validate journal entries, account reconciliations, and overhead analyses.
Lead preparation of annual financial statements and audit deliverables.
Provide technical accounting guidance in accordance with GAAP.
Analyze and explain budget-to-actual variances.
Manage budgeting software performance and provide support to internal stakeholders throughout the planning cycle.
Supervise and mentor staff, providing training, guidance, and professional development.
Drive process improvements, automation initiatives, and support global collaboration efforts.
Participate in cross-functional initiatives and present complex financial insights to leadership.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
Minimum of 8 years of relevant accounting experience, preferably including financial reporting and public accounting.
Strong technical knowledge of GAAP.
Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and multiple priorities.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present to all levels of an organization.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
Preferred Qualifications
Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
11+ years of accounting experience.
Prior supervisory experience.
Experience supporting or managing audit processes.
Exposure to budgeting and forecasting tools and methodologies.
Project management experience and a strategic mindset.
