Job Description
Design Technician
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City areas.
We are currently seeking a Design Technician to join a client team.
Responsibilities
Create new technical drawings and revise existing drawings based on written instructions and design specifications.
Support drafting, design, and documentation activities across multiple projects.
Adhere to established drafting standards, procedures, and best practices.
Apply recognized industry drafting standards consistently.
Utilize drafting and design software to complete assigned tasks accurately and efficiently.
Collaborate with designers, engineers, and project managers as part of a cross functional technical team.
Assist with ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned.
Perform additional duties as required to support project objectives.
Required Qualifications
Associate’s degree in a CAD related program or equivalent technical certification with relevant drafting experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Self motivated with a willingness to learn and grow within a technical environment.
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Solid problem solving and analytical abilities.
Basic working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Ability to work effectively in a team oriented, onsite environment.
Authorized to work in the United States without current or future sponsorship requirements.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical.
Experience with Revit or similar design tools.
Prior experience supporting technical or engineering related projects.
