Job Description

Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City Areas, as well as remote opportunities.

We are currently looking for an Engineering Manager to join the team. Position Overview: This is a hands-on position for a serious coder who can also coach developers at the highest level. The successful candidate will lead from the front and is not afraid to debate deep technical questions with their team.
  Key Responsibilities:
  • Team Leadership: Lead and mentor a team of experienced .NET developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performing culture focused on innovation and excellence.
  • Hands-On Development: Actively participate in the development process, writing code alongside the team and contributing to the design and implementation of critical components within the .NET codebase.
  • Project Management: Oversee the execution of development projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and quality standards. Collaborate closely with the Chief Architect and Vice President, Engineering, and other stakeholders to align development efforts with overall architectural goals.
  • Technical Guidance: Provide technical guidance and expertise to the development team, assisting with problem-solving, code reviews, and ensuring best practices are followed throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Recruitment and Talent Development: Recruit, onboard, and develop top talent within the development team, identifying training needs and career development opportunities to foster individual growth and team cohesion.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration and alignment of development efforts with broader organizational objectives.
  • Continuous Improvement: Drive continuous improvement initiatives within the development team, leveraging feedback, metrics, and industry best practices to optimize processes and enhance productivity.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Serve as a key point of contact for internal stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status, risks, and opportunities, and actively soliciting feedback to drive project success.
Qualifications:
  • Proven experience (5+ years) as a Development Manager or similar leadership role, with a strong focus on .NET development.
  • Extensive hands-on experience with .NET technologies, including C#, .NET Core, ASP.NET, MVC, Entity Framework, and Web API.
  • Extensive experience architecting and implementing microservices-based solutions in a cloud environment (preferably AWS).
  • Experience working with colleagues in both onshore and offshore environments, including India.
  • Demonstrated leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a diverse team of developers.
  • Strong project management skills, with a track record of successfully leading development projects from inception to delivery.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
  • Experience working within an Agile development environment is essential.
  • Prior experience of working in a company held by a private equity investor is a plus.
