We are currently looking for a DevOps Support Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities
Design, develop, and modify various technology elements.
Understand advanced methods, theories, and research techniques for implementing technology vision and strategy.
Serve as a subject matter expert in multiple technology areas.
Represent the team within and outside the department.
Lead implementations and provide recommendations for new solutions.
Instruct and guide less senior team members on tasks and assignments.
Collaborate with other Engineers to recommend adjustments to architecture.
Monitor key performance metrics to ensure compliance with standards, processes, and procedures.
Use technical knowledge to solve business problems.
Serve as a subject matter expert in the focus area.
Represent the department on complex assignments.
Evaluate technology effectiveness through requirements gathering, testing, research, and investigation.
Make recommendations for improvements to enhance quality and effectiveness.
Listen to and evaluate customer needs to provide high-quality solutions aligning with expectations.
Independently design, modify and develop complex code.
Work within or outside various teams using applicable technology.
Mentor team members and drive standards.
Ensure code performance and contribute to code reviews.
Perform unit and integration testing.
Assist with the analysis and review of software requirements.
Required Qualifications
2+ years of experience supporting related technologies (CI/CD orchestration, source code management, binary management,
etc)
Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
2+ years of infrastructure engineering experience, including Linux and Windows
Ability to troubleshoot and utilize the relevant findings to resolve incidents
Ability to plan, communicate, and perform product upgrades
Knowledge of Test Automation tools
Experience with JIRA, Confluence, and/or similar tools
Experience with agile development methodologies and tools such as Scrum or Kanban
Experience with middleware technologies like WebLogic and Tomcat
Must possess excellent analytical, problem-solving and decision-making skills
Must possess willingness and drive to learn
Strong teamwork abilities in a collaborative environment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Must be committed to incorporating security into all decisions and daily job responsibilities
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Management Information Systems, or a related field preferred
Experience with Jenkins, BitBucket, Artifactory, and Test Automation tools
Experience writing Java and Groovy
Experience with Kubernetes, Docker
Experience with cloud platforms, such as AWS and Azure
