DevOps Engineer

Job Description
Adaptive Solutions Group is a premier provider of information technology personnel. We provide a variety of technical professionals available for contract, contract to hire, or direct placement positions to companies in and around the St. Louis and Kansas City areas. We are currently looking for a DevOps Engineer to join our team.
Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and CI/CD pipelines to improve development and deployment processes.

Support and enhance DevOps tools and platforms to ensure reliability, availability, and performance.

Monitor, maintain, and perform upgrades for platform tools and supporting infrastructure.

Participate in code reviews while promoting coding standards and development best practices.

Conduct unit and integration testing to ensure the quality and functionality of automation solutions.

Analyze platform requirements and contribute to solution design, testing strategies, and continuous improvement initiatives.

Troubleshoot platform issues, identify root causes, and implement effective resolutions.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment to deliver scalable automation solutions.

Mentor junior team members and contribute to a culture of knowledge sharing and continuous learning.

Incorporate security best practices into all aspects of automation, infrastructure, and deployment processes.
- Must currently reside in the Greater St. Louis area.
- Must not require sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g. H-1B visa status) now, or in the future.
- 3+ years of experience supporting DevOps technologies, including CI/CD orchestration, source code management, and artifact or binary repository management.

3+ years of infrastructure engineering experience supporting Linux and Windows environments.

Experience with Agile methodologies such as Scrum or Kanban.

Experience using collaboration and project management tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar platforms.

Experience supporting middleware technologies such as WebLogic and Tomcat.

Knowledge of the software development lifecycle (SDLC).

Experience troubleshooting complex technical issues and implementing effective solutions.

Ability to plan, coordinate, and execute platform upgrades.

Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.

Commitment to integrating security best practices into daily responsibilities.

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related technical field.

Experience with Jenkins, Bitbucket, Artifactory, and test automation tools.

Experience developing automation using Java, Python, or Groovy.

Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.

Experience working with cloud platforms including AWS or Azure.
